What is Cingal used for?

  • Cingal is designed for those who suffer from osteoarthritis, a degenerative disease that worsens over time. It’s the most common form of arthritis that affects the joints.
  • It’s created as a replacement for synovial fluid in human joints, especially the knees.
  • Use the corticosteroid Triamcinolone Hexacetonide to reduce pain and inflammation for up to 6 months.
  • It provides a cushioning effect and lubrication for the knee joints.

Who is the manufacturer of Cingal?

Anika Therapeutics is a global joint preservation company that specialises in orthopaedic care since 1992. Cingal is one of their products designed for non-surgical treatment of osteoarthritis pain.

Benefits and results of using Cingal

  • It is useful at preventing the progression of osteoarthritis with its ability to alleviate joint pain and discomfort.
  • Hyaluronic acid provides hydration and lubrication to the joints, which increases mobility and reduces future damage.
  • Triamcinolone Hexacetonide is a corticosteroid used for its anti-inflammatory properties. This ingredient acts as pain relief by reducing swelling of the joints.
  • Cingal can be used to treat other joints affected by arthritis and not just knees.
  • The procedure of injecting Cingal is short and provides instant and long-lasting benefits that can delay total knee replacement surgery up to 3 or more years.
